My BCI: Meet Matt

After years spent caring for his late grandmother—his biggest inspiration—Matt was ready to rejoin the workforce but faced a few setbacks along the way. His five years at BCI helped him rebuild confidence, develop new skills, and find the stability he needed to move forward. With encouragement to spread his wings and guidance from Competitive Employment Director Michele Bowen, he began a second job at Taco Bell. Watching Matt grow from struggling at work to successfully balancing two jobs has been inspiring, and as he prepares to transition into competitive employment fully, he proves that persistence and the right support can open the door to new possibilities.
