Persistence Equals Victory
Bree wanted to work with Adobe Creative Cloud, a collection of apps used for photography, graphic design, video editing, and web development. Practically everything else was negotiable. In high school, she worked on the yearbook committee where she discovered her passion for photo editing.
After high school, Bree was connected with the Skills Center and demonstrated her potential through the discovery and exploration process. After several months of searching and receiving her share of rejection emails, Bree persisted. She knew the perfect job was out there! She continued to meet with her employment advisor every week and maintained a positive attitude when most people would have thrown in the towel.
Then, almost a year into her search, it happened. She applied for a photo editor position with a local photography firm. During her interview, she wowed them with her Adobe knowledge and demonstrated the skills from her yearbook days. She was hired! Now, she works at her dream job where she continues to wow her employer every day.
