EXTRA INNINGS

Extra Innings is a before- and after-work program for employees at our St. Peters facility, designed to support individuals who face transportation challenges. Through paid participation, employees can arrive as early as 7:00 a.m. and stay as late as 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and until 4:00 p.m. on Fridays—helping bridge gaps in transportation schedules while maintaining a consistent workday.

While participating in Extra Innings, employees can build new skills, connect with coworkers, and enjoy a variety of activities. From group discussions and games to movies, crafts, and relaxed social time, the program offers a supportive and engaging environment before and after the workday.

Program pricing is based on the number of units selected per week, with each morning or afternoon session counting as one unit.

Participation Units Per Week Cost Per Month
Part Time 1-5 $125
Full Time 6-10 $210

Extra Innings Allows Me to Work

I would not be able to keep my job without this support, as my son’s work hours do not align with mine. Extra Innings has completely resolved our transportation challenges and gives me peace of mind knowing he is safe and cared for.

My son truly enjoys being there. He has snacks, daily activities, and friends, and on days I’m off work, he’s even said, “Aww, you’re here early,” because he’d rather stay. What started as a practical solution has become something he genuinely values.

Grateful Every Day

The Extra Innings Program is a tremendous help to our family, allowing us to work full-time during business hours while keeping our daughter employed at the job she loves. It is reassuring to know she is in a safe, stimulating, and caring environment before and after the BCI work hours. Our family is grateful every single day that BCI created the Extra Innings Program. Our lives would be very difficult without it.

Different Stuff

I like that we do different, fun activities and talk about different stuff.

No Longer Unsure

At first, when my work hours changed, I was unsure about my son Craig spending more time at his workplace, but when I asked him about what he did during Extra Innings, he was proud to tell me, “I have new work friends!”
